Relocation of the Center for Bioinformatics
As of December 01, the Center for Bioinformatics with Management and Examination Office can be found in a new building: E 2 1 at the Saarland University's Campus. Uniting the associated Chairs and Junior Research Groups below one shared roof establishes a sound basis to intensify the cooperations between the groups and support the scientific discourse.
Departure of Dr. Rainer Böckmann
Dr. Rainer Böckmann, head of the junior research group 'Theoretical & Computational Membrane Biology' at the CBI, accepted the offer for a professorship for 'Computational Biology' at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg.
Award for Caroline Becker at the Model(l)ing 2009
Caroline Becker has been awarded for her poster presentation 'Concoord/ PBSA: Prediction of Mutational Effects on Protein-Protein Binding Affinity and Protein Stability' at the Model(l)ing 2009 in Erlangen, the annual international meeting of the Molecular Graphics & Modelling Society.
