Molecular fitness test for everyone

Computer scientists of the Center for Bioinformatics at the Saarland University analyze putative biomarkers. With the help of IT-Inkubator at the Saarland University, they develop an app that can not only visualize molecular data but also suggest training plans. From 2nd to 16th of July 2017, the 19th workshop of the saarländische Schülerakademie, which is organized by the Beratungsstelle Hochbegabung Saarland, was taking place at the youth and adult education center in Wallerfangen, „Haus Sonnental“.

During the first two weeks of the summer holiday, students of the upper school were challenged to address problems from different areas.

On Tuesday, 27.06.2017, Prof. Dr. Dr. Lengauer (Max-Planck-Institut für Informatik- Bioinformatik und Angewandte Algorithmik) will give a talk. The talk is entitled "Medizin aus dem Computer – was kann Bioinformatik?“ and will be held at the Wissenschaftsforum St. Ingbert (Alte Schmelz 64, 66386 Sankt Ingbert),  at 19:30. 

 

On Wednesday, June 14, 2017, Dr. Prof. Dr. Miguel Andrade (Computational Biology and Data Mining group, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz) will give a talk in the context of the colloquium series of the CBI in SS 2017.
