The methods for curing people with deadly diseases are becoming increasingly tricky. In the case of lung tumors, Tobias Fehlmann (Institute for Clinical Bioinformatics at Saarland University) is working on basic principles that help to detect such tumors at an early stage. For this work, he has now received the Alois-Lauer-Förderpreis für Medizin 2020 in Dillingen, which is endowed with 5000 euros.
